Job Description

As a Lead Technology Consultant at Altran you will solve complex business and technology challenges for our clients utilizing a combination of industry best practices, thought leadership and leading-edge technologies. With your experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle, you will create a sustainable competitive advantage for our clients and provide the basis for establishing long-term client partnerships. As a member of the technical consulting organization, you will have the opportunity to expand and leverage your skills in a highly collaborative and supportive environment.

Lead Technology Consultants are the thought leaders in the industries best practices. They are able to articulate what works well and what doesn’t.

 

In this role you will:

  • Actively participate in Altran’s business development lifecycle, identify opportunities, generate proposals and white papers, and support other sales efforts
  • Engage with clients to solve complex business and technology challenges including product and technology road mapping, architectural assessments and formulation, product migration planning and strategy development, and process assessment and realization
  • Apply systems-level thinking to provide customized solutions to meet customer needs
  • Provide continuity between consulting and development engagements with periodic oversight of development teams
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to systems and software development leads and teams
  • On occasion, fill the role of technical lead or hands-on contributor on software and system development projects

Qualifications

As one of our Technology and Business Leaders, this is who you are and what you enjoy:

  • 15+ years of deep experience with complex systems and software architecture
  • Expertise in object oriented design principles and proven development skills with C/C++ and C#
  • Knowledge of Java, Python or Objective-C a plus
  • Direct experience with systems architecture formulation and product development within regulated product industries such as Aerospace, Medical device, Automotive or Manufacturing
  • Professional, refined communication and consultation skills with a history of building consensus and developing relationships with Engineering and Business Leaders including expertise in facilitation, brainstorming, documentation and presentations
  • Current and relevant experience with complex enterprise software and system development, strong analytical and conceptual skills, and the ability to effectively alternate between detail and conceptual levels
      • Experience in at least one of the following technologies:
        • Internet of Things (IoT) (e.g. infrastructure, platforms, analytics)
        • Enterprise Software (e.g. cloud platforms, architectures)
        • Mobile (e.g. medical devices, large scale integration, platforms
    • Hands-on experience leading software and systems development engineers
    • Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering discipline
  • This role frequently initiates and closes all engagements - approximately 35% travel is to be expected
