    Job Description

    Altran is looking to hire a Powertrain Software Engineer to work on location in Auburn Hills, MI.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Responsible for participating in a team of engineers responsible for the development of software for engine and transmission control modules.
    • Perform software requirements analysis, design, coding, test plan creation, and testing for powertrain control features.
    • Perform reviews and/or inspections for requirements, design documents, Simulink Models, C/C++/assembly code, and test plans.
    • Create TargetLink Models. Interact with other department/vendors on eliciting requirements.

    Qualifications

     

    • Experience using physics based models
    • Embedded C programming language experience
    • Experience with software architecture and memory management
    • Must Have: Experience with AutoSAR
    • Must Have: Experience with dSpace System Desk
    • Must Have: Experience with Davinci Configurator
    • Regression testing experience
    • Skilled in the Agile software development process
    • Experience with Build Automation Tools
    • Must Have: Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow experience
    • Embedded Coder experience
    • Experience with scripting languages, for example, Python
    • Experience with Infineon Aurix processors
    • Experience with Motorola/Freescale/NXP 32-bit processors
    • Experience with setting up projects in a version control system (Rational Team Concert)
    • Experience with software debug tools (e.g. Lauterbach emulator)
    • Experience with Hard Real-time embedded applications
    • Ability to support timely releases of software with the planned content
    • Ability to convey technical knowledge to other team members
    • Experience in transmission controls
      • Development
      • Debug
      • Validation
    • Ability to root cause and resolve transmission related issues
    • Familiarity with OBD II

     

    Additional Information:

    • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering degree.
    • This person will be bringing the new people in the group up to speed.
    • This is NOT an entry-level position. Candidates must have at least 5-7 years’ experience.
    • Will be required to drive a company car. Valid driver’s license as well as a clean driving record is required.
    • May be required to travel domestically (0-5%)
