    Job Description

    Summary: This role targets the experienced design engineer with leadership skills. The candidate must be able to execute design changes of class 3 medical devices, project manage and mentor junior engineers. Job Description Emergency Care and Resuscitation is a key business along the continuum of care. It has a broad product portfolio of advanced life support solutions, automated external defibrillators, and data management solutions.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    This position is the lead mechanical designer for a cross functional team that will be solving problems and improving our product designs and processes. Mechanical engineering expertise is one facet of the needed skillset as there will be a need for technical writing, structured problem solving and overall business process improvements. Required skills include broad technical leadership, medical device regulations, design practices and standards.

     

    Responsibilities include: - Mechanical design of defibrillator/monitor and accessories – 3D and 2D using Solidworks - Releasing updated documentation to the data control system. - Ensure that practices and procedures comply with the Quality System

    Qualifications

     

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
    • 5 years of experience in a leadership role
    • 5 years of experience with electronics packaging and molded part design.
    • Experience developing and manufacturing products on globally distributed teams Trained in problem solving methodologies

     

    Desired:

    • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering
    • Multilingual 
    • Medical product design experience
