    Job Description

    The Senior Electrical Engineer performs broad based electrical design, development, review, and documentation. Success in this role is predicated on an individual’s ability to contribute technically under a regulated product design process while leading work efforts and reporting project status to project management.

    • Regulatory testing support
    • Supporting design transfer to manufacture
    • Analog and digital circuit design using schematic capture tools (Altium, Orcad).
    • Ability to make updates to designs including, schematics, PCB, Fab and assembly drawings

     

     

    Responsibilities

    The specification, architecture, design, transfers to manufacturing and validation of custom electrical systems.

    • Design and develop with schematic capture tools ( DxDesigner, OrCad etc)
    • Effective use of PCB layout tools ( PADS, etc)
    • Expertise in two or more technical specialties, ie; FPGA design, RF, small signal analog.
    • Expertise with circuit simulation tools ( Spice, Hyperlynx etc)
    • Component selection and Bill of Materials management
    • Vendor / Sub-contractor selection and management (PCB Layout)
    • Support sales, business development, marketing and other departments technically, as required.
    • Lead customer meeting to obtain detailed information and project requirements for project planning and estimation
    • Working knowledge of industry standards and mechanical design for safety and EMI/EMC
    • Working knowledge of regulated product development environments

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
    • 10+ years’ experience with a minimum of 5 of those years in an engineering role that included support for multi-disciplinary design, development, and delivery of products across the full development life cycle
    • The ability to lead remote engineering design teams

    Expertise in two or more of the following technical specialties is needed:

    • Systems Engineering
    • FPGA design & Complex Digital HW
    • Electrical Control Systems Modeling, Feedback (SISO)
    • Experience with CT machines or PET scanners or imaging systems
    • Electro-mechanical design
    • System power architecture and analysis
