    Job Description

    An exciting opportunity to join a global world leader in engineering and R&D as it grows its User Experience team.  Altran is seeking a Junior User Experience Designer to join a user experience team to execute client engagements in a consulting environment.  The candidate ideal should be highly motivated, self-driven person who works well independently and can thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.  The ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively to clients is essential.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct user research with end users to capture requirements to solve customers’ business problems
    • Ability to conduct on-site and remote usability testing
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture and translate customers business requirements and user needs into compelling user experiences
    • Create visual solutions and interface designs and the ability to present and justify designs to customers and peers to gain buy-in
    • Create wireframes, sitemaps and user flows to articulate solutions
    • Create detailed functional specifications and wireframe/design annotations that define the interaction components of a solution

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a design discipline
    • 3+ years of experience user research, experience design, information design, interaction design, interface design, visual and product design
    • Proficiency in Adobe Create Suite and similar design tools and industry standards such as Sketch
    • Experience working on a scrum / agile projects
    • Experience with GitHub, ZenHub, and Agile software development methodologies
    • Competency in wireframing tools such as Axure, Balsamiq, and Omnigraffle
    • Experience in defining and creating brand and style guidelines
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Proven track record of creating innovative solutions
    • Out-of-box thinker, innovator and critical thinker
    • Must possess experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams
    • Hands on experience of user centered design and agile practices
    • Strong portfolio required that demonstrates your UX and visual design skills
