    Job Description

Are you motivated by the challenge of designing complex business-critical and life-critical systems for demanding customers?  Are you comfortable coming up to speed quickly with a variety of toolchains and process methodologies?

Altran engineers work in a fast paced highly technical environment on wide range of products from high volume consumer electronics with sleek design characteristics to extremely complex industrial or robotic systems where high availability and extreme precision are prioritized over visual elegance.

Our team-oriented environment supports collaboration among both local and global design teams, invoking unique talents from design centers across the globe.  Altran’s technology experts (including many who have been CTO’s or product architects at multiple firms before joining Altran) provide invaluable support as you grow your own skills to meet each new challenge.

Altran engineers are systems thinkers who optimize architectural decomposition across system, subsystem, module and component.  We collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines and organizational boundaries in order to deliver the required functional performance, with unparalleled system reliability and with an eye to future maintainability and extensibility.

Altran engineers earn a high level of trust from our clients and colleagues, allowing us to make a visible and meaningful impact on all decisions impacting the product development process.  We conduct feasibility investigations, elicit and elaborate complex requirements, design to these requirements, lead risk mitigation efforts, and finally complete verification to show that the product will perform in a variety of ‘real world’ uses, and fail gracefully under foreseeable misuses.

    Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, action oriented, and a persistent achiever. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work cross-functionally in a highly technical environment. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills with a proven ability to deliver effective presentations to business and technical audiences. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead by example, manage by influence, and to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization.   The candidate will demonstrate a devotion to product quality with significant experience planning and leading design reviews, risk mitigation, simulation, EMC and safety testing activities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s preferred.
    • 10+ years’ experience in an engineering role including activities across the product development life cycle from concept to release.
